Dream of staying in one of the coolest lush forest hotels? My recent trip to Ipoh was an absolute dream. It’s been months of being stuck in a lockdown and I won’t stay away for that long anymore! On my recent trip to Ipoh, I decided to have a five-star experience and see what it’s all about here.
During our visit, we stayed at The Haven All Suite Resort and I loooooved it! It’s by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in Ipoh. Ipoh capital city of Perak is full of gorgeous limestone hill, and it’s a must-see for any visitor to the country. Just a short one-hour flight into Ipoh from Singapore, you’ve got to see this iconic slice of heaven.
Here’s my experience staying at The Haven All Suite Resort Ipoh, Malaysia!
If you’re staying in Kuala Lumpur (KL) or Penang, The Haven All Suite Resort is just a two-hour drive away from these cities. If you are staying in Singapore, you can fly directly into Ipoh Airport.
The journey to The Haven All Suite Resort is a quick 25-minute drive from the airport if you take a taxi. It’s also just 5 minutes from the famous Lost World of Tambun Theme Park and a quick 15 minutes trip into Ipoh city centre.
About The Property
No matter where you turn, The Haven All Suite Resort offers stunning views of limestone hills and it’s quite a hot spot for weekend staycation. The posh hotel won the World Luxury Hotel Awards 2015 Gala Ceremony in Hong Kong and Top 1% Travellers’ Choice Award 4 years consecutively (2016 – 2019) by TripAdvisor.
Let me tell you – I’m not surprised!
That view of 280 million years limestone hills is what you see when you first check-in to the hotel.
Best of all, the view of the scenic virgin forest will absolutely take your breath away every time you look out the window. It is almost otherworldly in its beauty.
The Haven All Suite Resort has a range of 1 Bedroom Suite, 2 Bedroom Suite, 2+1 Bedroom Suite and 3 Bedroom Suite that can sleep up to six. The rooms are very clean with an option to face the lake or the city. Of course, you’ll get all of the essentials too, like bathrobes, free toiletries in a cute little bag, free Wi-Fi and satellite TV.
We stayed in a 2+1 Bedroom and, at 1668 square feet in size, it felt absolutely massive! Meanwhile, the bed was so comfortable I could hardly drag myself out of it.
The amazing lake view from the balcony is the most striking thing about the room. You can look out on the entire forest and get a first-class view of the mountains. Even the master bedroom has an incredible view!
We had an incredible view of the forest from our private balcony and wake up to the sound of nature!
If you’re staying at The Haven All Suite Resort as a guest, breakfast is included! However, since Malaysia is still under Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO), no buffet is served. Breakfast is served daily at Cuisines Poolside Bar and Restaurant and you can order ala carte. You can choose breakfast options ranging from Western and Asian cuisines.
Cuisine Restaurant, a poolside restaurant prides themselves on serving up the freshest food and natural ingredients, their Chefs go to market every day and cook without the use of MSG or artificial flavours.
The menu features dishes like chicken soup, grouper served with salad and caramel custard.
